COURTENEY COX SIGNS UP FOR KIDS CHARITY

Former 'Friends' star COURTENEY COX has signed up as the celebrity spokeswoman for a new children's charity to help treat kids suffering from a little-known blood disorder.
The actress is fighting to highlight EB Kids, an organisation aiming to raise funds for necessary clinical trials to treat sick kids.
She explains, "These kids are missing a gene in their blood and they blister and they can't do what normal kids do - they can't hold a handle tight, they can't walk without being bandaged.
"It's brutal and no one knows about it because it's like 10,000 kids have it in America.
"They've actually figured out what gene it is and now we have to raise money to make sure that the clinical trials happen." 24/07/2005 09:00
